I was lucky enough to visit Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty in 2007. Lately, I’ve been thinking about the ancient quality it has. I am fascinated by it and want to achieve that in my work.

Jessie Little Doe is a linguist of the Wampanoag Nation who helped to bring the Wampanoag language and culture back. In the film, We Still Live Here- As Nutayuean, she tells of her dreams/visions about bringing back the Wampanoag language, and it’s a powerful thing to hear someone speak sincerely of dreams/visions as truth.
